Are you sick of getting "pre-approved" credit card applications, and worried they might be used in identity fraud? You can opt-out of pre-approved credit card offers from credit card companies that use Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union (the main credit history companies that all major credit card companies use); if you get on this list you will never get another credit card application in the mail. You can choose a two year or permanent opt-out status. I haven't gotten a credit card application since I signed up.

You need to call this number and they will send you a form that you sign and return.
